What the suit says

Miami-Dade officers Jason Smith and Jonathan Santana sued Matt Damon (55) and Ben Affleck (53), alleging the film and its promotions imply misconduct and used distinctive details from a June 29, 2016 cash seizure in Miami Lakes. The complaint, naming production companies Artists Equity and Falco Productions, accuses the filmmakers of defamation, defamation by implication and intentional infliction of emotional distress, and seeks unspecified damages. The officers say they sent a cease-and-desist in December 2025.
