The lawsuit includes an alleged text exchange with FBI spokesman Ben Williamson, who reportedly told reporters, "This detail thing you emailed about looks like it’s made up," and said he found no record. According to the complaint, Williamson asked for dates and names but was told the reporters were comfortable with their sourcing.
Wilkins disputes a December 2025 article that claimed FBI agents drove one of her friends home after a night in Nashville at the direction of Kash Patel. She says neither she nor Patel requested agents to transport friends, that she "very rarely drinks, if ever," and that she did not have a security detail in the spring of 2025. Patel and the FBI have defended prior travel and security arrangements. The defendants have not yet responded and the claims remain unproven.
