Top Doc Calls for Transparency

On June 3, Dr. Jonathan Reiner said there were 'lingering concerns' about the exam and the president's 'prolonged absence from the public eye.' Reiner urged the White House to make the president's physician available to answer questions. The 79-year-old president has boasted that he had his six-month physical and that 'everything checked out PERFECTLY,' and he has repeatedly claimed perfect scores on cognitive testing.

What the Cognitive Test Means

Reiner stressed the Montreal Cognitive Assessment is 'a dementia screening tool, not an IQ test,' noting that a score of 26 or higher represents normal cognitive performance. The MOCA includes tasks such as identifying animals, recalling word and number sequences and drawing a clock face to indicate a time.
